My name is Gary Smoot, the owner/photographer/whatever-else-needs-to-be-done-person of Smoot Productions, Inc. Over the last 25 years I have been privileged to have the freedom and creativity to enjoy a wide range of responsibilities in not only photography but also marketing, print/web design, graphic arts, videography, and video production. The projects I have worked on have been on the shelves of major retailers, in national magazines, and also watched on national cable television. My experiences have not only honed my eye for detail and photography but also given me the knowledge of what it takes to make a photo “POP” in post production.
I started Smoot Productions, Inc. in 2011 as a small family business in my hometown of Sterling, Illinois. I am assisted by my brother, Eric, my wife, Carolyn, my two daughters, Kestrel and Katelyn and of course our family dog, LeeLoo. Our main focus is to offer quality photography services to the Sauk Valley Area, but we also offer design and web services.
